Dear Visitor — Welcome to iLikeMyHearing.org –

D. McWilliams Kessler, Fabrizio Ferri and Chris Botti during the PSA shoot.
You’re probably visiting this website because you’ve seen or heard about the Public Service Announcement (PSA) we created with music celebrities Chris Botti and Sting, along with leading videographer Fabrizio Ferri. (You can click on the video above to view the PSA.)
Chris, Sting, and Fabrizio share our alarm about this growing public health issue. As Sting says in the PSA, “As we get older, millions of us are starting to hear less…And less.”
Hearing loss is an issue that concerns us all…about 36 million Americans already have some degree of hearing loss, and with 10,000 baby boomers turning 65 each day, this number is expected to skyrocket. In fact, experts predict that hearing loss will affect 78 million Americans by the year 2030.
Hearing loss can impact our relationships, work, leisure pursuits and even safety. That’s why all adults, and in particular baby boomers, should take control of their hearing health as soon as possible—and this website can help you get started.
Here, you’ll find facts about hearing loss, tips for protecting your hearing, information about getting a hearing test and lots more. If you’re concerned about your own hearing or that of a loved one, The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary is here to help you get a hearing test so you protect one of your most valuable assets.
